Chef Erin Forsythe began her teaching career at Sur La Table, instructing more than 300 classes before opening the Arts @ Large Café in Walker's Point. While at Arts @ Large, Erin worked with area high school students, teaching them the necessary culinary and barista skills to enter the food industry. Erin is now an adjunct instructor at Waukesha County Technical College, where she will be educating students in the Culinary Management program.

Macaron vs. macaroons, It’s a little more complicated than the fact that one has coconut and the other has almond flour. Come join Chef Erin as she demystifies the many differences between these closely named cookies in Macaron vs. Macaroons. Sample delicate textures and flavors that will make your heart sing. Just don’t tell anyone that you plan on attending class or people will come out of the woodwork asking for samples.

Restrictions: Ages 14 and older. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Requirements: Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back and away from students’ faces. Please notify the Cooking School at Boelter SuperStore in advance if you have any food allergies or aversions. Recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. Menu changes cannot be made the day of class.
