Product Description

Budding Culinarians can hone their chops in our interactive and creative three-day cooking camp series this summer. Covering topics from knife skills basics to advanced cooking techniques, we’ll have a lot of fun while learning the disciplines integral to making a chef. With focus on food safety, menu planning, culinary science, and a wide range of kitchen alchemy, your youngster will leave our camps inspired, eager to cook, and better equipped to express themselves through food. Enrollment is limited so don’t wait until summer to take advantage of this opportunity to expound upon the repertoire and culinary acumen of your little chef.

Menu:
For the premiere of our kids cooking camp, we have chosen to leave the menu open-ended to better serve our students and let them choose, as a group, what we will make each day, given the following parameters. In the three-day course, we will experiment with the following:
• Chemical Reactions
• Something that sizzles
• Something familiar but done in a creative, new way
• Lots of Baking
• Learning how to cook full meals: menu planning, knife skills and prep, cooking, and serving
• Cooking Independently

Restrictions: Ages 8-12

Pricing per person.

Requirements: Registrants will receive a copy of our required permission slip prior to the week of camp. However extra copies will be available at The Cooking School at Boelter SuperStore on the first day of class. A parent or guardian must drop of permission slip and students inside the Boelter SuperStore on the first day and pick up students no later than 12:15pm each day. Please have students wear comfortable closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back and away from students’ faces. Please notify the Cooking School at Boelter SuperStore in advance if your child has any food allergies or aversions. Recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. Menu changes cannot be made the day of class.
